A: There are plenty of charitable organizations that can use beds, like Teen Challenge. If you don’t have any of these in your area or they’re not accepting mattress donations than you can try to find somewhere that will recycle it. They’ll take the mattress apart and recycle the individual materials. You can also use online resources like Craigslist and FreeCycle.org to find anyone who may be in need of a free mattress. Each of these options is preferable than bringing it to a landfill.
