Universal Hotel Liquidators Featured on Better Connecticut

Everyone here was honored to have UHL featured on Better Connecticut. During the Great Scot segment, UHL owner, Dave White, showed Scot Haney and Olessa Stepanova of Better Connecticut, around our 100,000 square foot warehouse. The segment displays some of the new furniture we’ve taken in recently from hotels like the Embassy Suites and the Hyatt.

Remember When: The Demise of the Coliseum

Just a bit over four years ago the New Haven Coliseum was demolished by implosion. The Coliseum had stood for 30 years before that but was officially closed down in 2002. It had fallen into disrepair and its upkeep was determined to be too great a strain on New Haven’s finances. The Coliseum didn’t fall without protest, and a campaign to save it sprang up but ultimately failed. For many, including myself, the demolition of the Coliseum marked a sad day. I still have very fond memories of attending hockey practice there during high school. So, while the Coliseum may be gone it is far from forgotten.
